Mission & Vision
MISSION STATEMENT
The Walnut Grove school library empowers students to become lifelong readers, critical digital citizens, and curious learners by cultivating a vibrant reading culture, fostering digital literacy, and providing instructional support that enriches teaching and learning across all grade levels.
VISION
The library is an active community of curious, literate, and connected learners.
All students visit the library once a week for 30-minute library instruction and book checkout.
Kindergarten through sixth-grade students also receive weekly 30-minute Makerspace instruction in the library. Makerspace instruction includes learning to use the design thinking process, coding, robotics, chess, and graphic design.
